This replica was made from Jacqueline Kennedy's personal jewelry collection. John Kennedy was so elated that Jackie had accepted his proposal of marriage that he purchased this very special 'second' engagement present for her on July 11, 1953. The original bracelet came from Van Cleef and Arpels on Fifth Avenue in New York. Jackie was elated with the bracelet and was very moved by her fiancé’s thoughtfulness. In fact, when she was designing a bracelet for her wedding day, she decided that this bracelet would serve as the basis for its design. Jackie would wear both the Engagement Bracelet and the Wedding Bracelet for the rest of her life. The engagement bracelet is currently owned by Caroline Kennedy. This platinum plated engagement bangle bracelet has 38 Swarovski crystals and a box and tongue clasp. Bangle is 2 1/4" across, with a hinge opening. 7/16" wide. Great for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or "just because."
