Sometimes trying to find the right words to say "I'm Sorry" can be difficult. However, we feel we have found a way to help! And true to our commitment to bring you only the finest Message in a Bottle Gifts we have engraved the poem "Return to Me" by Arlene E Brown on the face of this 12" glass bottle. The poems sentiment, the words it conveys and the emotions it stirs will certainly touch the heart.

In addition you can write your own message for the scroll that goes inside the bottle, or choose from one of our stock messages.

You have the choice of three different components for the inside of the bottle. Choose real (freeze dried) rose petals or sand and sea shells or no inside components except the scroll. Whatever you choose we will hand burn the edges of the archival quality parchment paper we use for the scroll. Also included is a pewter key to my heart keepsake, silk or velvet presentation bag (based on availability) for the bottle and gift box. Optional wood gift box upgrade is available for an additional charge.

In the Victorian Era people who desired to communicate or send a secret message used the "Language of Flowers" to express their feelings. There were times, due to various circumstances,that ones true feelings could not be openly expressed. So people of this era devised a way to arrange flowers in a certain way or choose a specific color to reveal these thoughts and feelings secretly. Red roses meant love and romance. White meant purity, innocence, sympathy and spirituality and so on. However the rarest of the rare is the elusive Blue Rose. The Blue Rose signifies mystery, intrigue and the obtaining of love that might, at times, seem to have numerous obstacles to overcome.

For those that didn’t grow up in the Midwest and aren’t that familiar with Sweetest Day, it began over 60 years ago during the depression years. A gentleman in Ohio began giving small tokens of friendship to the homeless, the orphans and others who needed a bit of kindness to help make it through a very turbulent time

.

Over the years Sweetest Day has evolved into a romantic holiday where lovers exchange cards and tokens of affection. Sweetest Day is always celebrated the 3rd Saturday in October. (Make sure you check out all of out Sweetest Day Gift choices)
